Although the Kenyan world champion was wheeled from the field after an injury during his second throw costing him the gold medal, he still managed to secure the silver medal. German’s Rohler ended up surpassing him to win the Gold.


Yego,27, nicknamed ‘YouTube man’ due to the unconventional manner that he learned the sport, won Kenya’s first Olympic medal outside of boxing and running.
