The planned swearing-in of the two as People’s President and deputy respectively has been delayed in the past with the first one that was scheduled on December 12 last year postponed.
“People’s president Raila Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka will be sworn-in on January 30,” wrote Magaya, who is also the CEO of NASA coalition.
Although it is not yet clear how they will assume office given that President Uhuru Kenyatta was constitutionally sworn-in, the two are however defiant that the ceremony shall go on as planned.
Thereafter, Magaya says, NASA brigade shall lead a series of meetings and public rallies across the county preferably in the counties that have passed People’s Assembly Bill.
“The event shall be followed by a series of People’s Assembly Cabinet tour and engagement in all counties that have passed the bill.”
So far, 16 counties have passed the bill and are mainly opposition controlled with at least four still yet to embrace the idea.
Should Jubilee engage them in dialogue, he adds, NASA shall only push for strengthening of devolution and restoration of electoral justice in the country.
