Revealed: How Africa Reacted to Morocco Losing 2026 World Cup to America

The United States, Canada and Mexico have won the right to host the first 48 nation tournament

Morocco lost the vote 134 to 65 in the Fifa Congress on Wednesday.

Most African nations were upset about fellow nations from their continent voting for America’s United bid. Then you’d see Moroccan fans complaining about a few Arab nations backing the USA. Other than the politics, there’s other upset fans in what was an emotional day for African football.

With Africa failing to host their second World Cup, it was expected that there’d be many complaints and finger pointing. The continent hosted their first tournament in South Africa in 2010.
