The rainbow flag (popularly known as the Gay/LGBT pride flag) – is a symbol of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride and LGBT social movements.
So when a big, long rainbow appeared over gay nightclub Pulse, last week, social media users went wild in excitement that perhaps (finally) God has confirmed he loves and supports gay people like every other human being he created.
On June 12, 2016, a gunman opened fire inside Pulse in Orlando, Florida – killing 49 people before he was gunned down by police.
Hundreds of Orlando residents who saw the rainbow appear two days after the mass shooting, described how the rainbow started from the rooftop of Pulse nightclub – all the way across hospitals where over 53 victims were being treated for gunshot injuries. Those in the area quickly captured the image and shared it on Twitter.
So err…what do you think? Do you believe the rainbow came from God as a sign that the 49 innocent souls that were killed inside the gay club are all in heaven. Or was the rainbow just a random, inexplicable coincidence? Peep Twitter reactions below…
