Prince’s Half-brother Alfred Jackson Found Dead in His Kansas City Home

Prince’s half-brother Alfred Jackson has died aged 66.

He was found dead at home, three years after he inherited much of the late singer’s fortune.

TMZ has reported that Alfred, who shared the same mum as Prince, jazz singer Mattie Shaw, had appeared to have died in his sleep.

A cause of death has not been revealed as yet but police are not suspecting foul play.

Alfred’s body was reportedly found at 10.30am local time on Thursday by his half-brother Bruce Jackson.

Alfred was one of Prince’s six surviving siblings and the former US Air Force serviceman was able to buy his own home with his share of the Paisley Park based singer-songwriter fortune.

He was one of the first members of Prince’s family to speak publicly about the sudden death of the 57-year-old pop superstar.

Speaking to ET at the time, Alfred said: “I miss my brother, because my brother was everything in the world to me.

“God bless Prince, God bless the world. He’s a legend, he really is.”

Alfred has also shared his thoughts on Prince’s success, though he has admitted that he wasn’t that close to his brother, mainly due to the demands that the singer faced throughout his career.

Speaking about Prince, Alfred said: “He was so busy on the road because he had so many engagements with his music.

“So, he had to travel, all around the world. I always saw him on television, read the magazines, and said, ‘There’s my brother, Prince.’

“I was so happy he was making it for himself, I really was.”
