President Alassane Ouattara: ‘Côte d’Ivoire is a Country Full of Opportunities’

This Monday, March 26, 2018, Ivory Coast has made the opening of the 6 th edition of the Africa CEO Forum. It was in the presence of President Alassane Ouattara and his counterparts from Ghana and Zimbabwe.

In his welcome address, President Alassane Ouattara expressed his gratitude for the choice made on Côte d’Ivoire, the host country.

“Côte d’Ivoire is a country full of opportunities with a favorable business environment for the private sector and a strong macroeconomic framework,” he said.


He called on African heads of state to provide more opportunities for youth and business by diversifying economies, and improving the business climate to attract the private sector.

“Thanks, lower your interest rates”
Addressing the banks, the Ivorian executive chief has pleaded with the banks for the lowering of their interest rates “(…) of grace lower your interest rates,” said the Ivorian head of state , urging business leaders to invest in Côte d’Ivoire.

According to him, the reduction of the gap in infrastructures, the acceleration of the regional integration will allow the companies to have access to large markets and to facilitate the exchanges, the education of the young people, in particular that of the young girls, for their to face the challenges of tomorrow.

The Africa CEO Forum brings together, over two days, major players in the industrial and financial sectors, as well as political figures from 60 countries.

These illustrious guests will be asked to reflect on the theme: “African Champions: Time for Transformation” with the objectives of communicating to the participants action plans to promote the transformation of major companies on the continent.
more than 1200 participants are expected at this economic forum.
