A small village in Poland, Miejsce Odrzanskie, has not seen the birth of a single boy for a decade, a situation that is worrying residents and authorities.
The village mayor, Krystyna Zydziak, has decided to offer rewards to anyone who has information about the missing men in the village, reports the New York Times.
According to reports, the focus was on the village when the authorities did not find boys to send to a regional competition for young volunteer firefighters.
Concerned about this situation, some government officials decided to ask for scientific help to explain what is happening. Another village mayor, Rajmund Frischko, said doctors gave him tips on how to conceive a boy.
“Some scientists have expressed interest in examining why only girls are born here. I also have doctors who call me from across the country to give me advice on how to conceive a boy . ” According to a retired doctor, this problem is due to the feeding of women.
Faced with this situation, the women and girls of the village are forced to do tasks reserved for men.
