PHOTOS: Kenyan Girl’s Desire To Visit Rwandan President Comes True

An eleven year old Kenyan girl, Wendy Waeni, desire to meeting Rwandan President Paul Kagame came true after a long wait

The young gymnast impressed Kagame during her performance in Kenya’s Jamhuri Day Celebrations (Independence Day) in 2014, prompting President Kagame to extend an invitation to the little girl to visit him in Rwanda on a fully paid trip.

After a long wait, Waeni finally boarded the plane on September 9th to the East African nation to meet the Rwandese leader.
“I have waited this day for 2yrs and it’s finally here, starting my Rwanda’s visit today hosted by President Paul Kagame,” said Waeni on her twitter handle

Waeni presented Kagame with a portrait drawn by Kenyan pencil artist Fiona during her visit in Rwanda
