Numerous #RIPJoeMafela tweets have been streaming through Twitter timelines for the past days as South Africans share their fondest memory of watching Joe Mafela on TV or how he left a lasting impression to those who were blessed enough to have crossed paths with him.

As the funeral ceremony took place at the University of Johannesburg’s Soweto campus, Joe Mafela’s resting place was at the Westpark Cemetery next to the late Mandoza who passed away last year in December.

His tombstone,fitted with a 55 inch LCD TV,a table and a chair for the comfort of mourners has left tongues wagging.
