In 1989, according to Forbes magazine, he was the 7 th place in the ranking of the richest people in the world, with a fortune éestimée to over 25 billion. According to several reports, he had killed 10 thousand people. The gang, created by Escobar, has earned a lot of money selling illegal substances. Pablo considered himself Robin Hood and spent some of the money to help the poor. In many parts of Colombia, there are still portraits of him in the streets with the legend “Saint Pablo”.
The biography of Pablo Escobar was known several decades after his death thanks to the photographic archives, created for years by his former classmate Edgar Jimenez. At the age of 22, Pablo became the largest criminal authority in the city of Medellin. At that age he was already selling illegal substances. Very quickly, he managed to gain first place in the illicit substances industry across the country and then across South America.
Pablo Escobar’s wife
In 1974, when Escobar was 24 years old, he began dating 13-year-old Maria Victoria Henao Vallejo. His family did not approve of their relationship and the couple fled to the city of Palmyra. In March 1976, they got married.
Throughout her life, Escobar had a lot of extra-marital adventures, but despite all the adventures of her husband, Maria Victoria supported him and stayed with him until his last breath.
After the death of her husband, she went to Argentina and changed her name to Maria Isabel Santos Caballero. With his children they lived a quiet life in a small apartment in Buenos Aires. This quiet life lasted only 5 years. In 2000, Maria Isabel and her son were arrested for falsifying documents, conspiring and illegally laundering money. They were sentenced to 15 months in prison. But on the basis of insufficient evidence, they were released.
The son of Pablo Escobar
Juan Pablo Escobar inherited not only his father’s name, but also similar characteristics. When he arrived in Argentina with his mother, he changed his name to Juan Sebastian Marroquín Santos, but that did not help him hide his true identity.
Huang was born in 1977 in Medellin and was very close to his father. Until the age of 12, he had no idea what his father was doing. By nature, the son was a pacifist and never agreed with his father’s brutality and violence. It was thanks to a telephone conversation between father and son that American and Colombian special agents discovered Escobar’s hiding place.
In Argentina, the young man went back to school, his dream was to become an architect.
In 2009, a documentary entitled “The Sins of My Father” was published. It was a film in which Juan apologized to the victims of Pablo Escobar and the entire Colombian people. Currently, Escobar’s son lives in Buenos Aires with his wife and daughter.
The daughter of Pablo Escobar
Manuela Escobar, Escobar’s beloved daughter, was a more mysterious figure than her brother and mother. She always avoided the audience. Today, we know almost nothing about her just a few details about her childhood.
His father was always willing to spend money giving him presents. He would have forced one of his mistresses to abort because he had promised Manuela that she would remain his only daughter.
She was born on October 6, 1984 in Brownsville, Texas, USA. She lost her father at the age of 9. Before the death of her father, Manuela was a very spoiled child, the little princess of her father. At the age of 10, when they went to Argentina, her mother changed her name to Juana Manuela Marroquin Santos. Since then, it has been completely closed to the public.
Now 31, Manuela is still living in Buenos Aires, perhaps under another name. Pablo Escobar’s son and daughter became victims of their father’s bad reputation.
