Official: Samuel Eto’o Joins Qatar Sport Club, the 14th Club of His Football Career

Following the termination of his contract with the Turkish club Konyaspor, Friday, August 3, Samuel Eto’o was now without a club. But a player of his caliber does not sleep long. Indeed, the former striker of FC Barcelona and Inter Milan will have to deliver a new challenge that could be his last before retirement.

This new challenge he will be able to meet on the side of Qatar. The 37-year-old Cameroon striker has signed with Qatar Sport Club. This is the 14th club of his career with which he will evolve. It will be officially presented this Tuesday night as it can be read on the club’s twitter page.

Last weekend on RFI Samuel Eto’o had already announced the date of his retirement. Ex-Pichichi said he plans to play for two more seasons before retiring, at 39.

“What I want is to continue playing football. I want to play two more seasons and then stop my career and start a new life, “he  told RFI.

After playing in the championships of Spain, Russia, England, Italy and Turkey, Samuel Eto’o will not play in France before the end of his career. He that the media and the French club would have wanted to see evolve on this side even at the dawn of his career.

“I knew the other three major championships. I did not know the French championship but hey, I’m not obsessed by saying “I want to play in France”. If this is done, it will be something good. If that does not happen, well I will continue to be happy and support my Paris-Saint-Germain, “added Samuel Eto’o at the microphone of RFI.

The point of fall that was rather found by Samuel Eto’o is on the side of Qatar Vivement, that his last seasons are successful before ending his career.
