OFFICIAL: Former President of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak Acquitted By The Court 

Hosni Mubarak was finally acquitted by the Court of Cassation on Thursday in Cairo during the trial for the death of protesters during the revolt which caused his fall in 2011.


The former head of state was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2012, but a new trial had been ordered by the court. A criminal court then acquitted him. A decision confirmed Thursday, in cassation, according to Rfi.

During his trial, he again denied his involvement in the crimes perpetrated during the 2011 uprising that ended his 30 years of power.
