Nobel Peace Prize 2019: Ethiopian Prime Minister Clashes with President Donald Trump (Video)

Last week, Donald Trump hinted that someone else had the Nobel Peace Prize for him.

In December 2019, the award was presented to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for his role in the peace agreement and the reforms between Ethiopia and Eritrea, a decision deemed unfair by the President.

“I’m going to tell you about the Nobel Peace Prize, I’m going to tell you about it. I made a deal, I saved a country, and I just learned that the leader of this country is going to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for saving the country… I prevented a great war, I prevented two or three, “ said Donald at a rally in Ohio.

Angered by Trump’s remarks, the Ethiopian Prime Minister advised him to address his complaints to the Nobel Peace Prize committee in Oslo.

“To be honest, I am not aware of the criteria used to choose the winners of the award, so Trump’s complaint should be addressed to the Nobel Prize Committee in Oslo and not to Ethiopia,” said Abiy during from a joint press briefing with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.

“I do not work for the price, I work for peace which is a very important thing for our region,” he added.
