“Nigeria’s Fela Kuti’s Life Was Deep” – Actor Will Smith Celebrates Afrobeat Legend Alongside Jay-Z and Beyonce

In his post, Will Smith stated that on May 20, 2010, himself, his wife and his friends, produced a play on Broadway and named it after the legendary Afrobeat figure, FELA. The actor also added that they got 11 Tony Awards nominations for the play. He went on to encourage people to read about FELA, describing Fela’s life as deep.
