The female wrestler became the first ever female Nigerian wrestler to get to the final of the world championship on Wednesday.
The Commonwealth Games gold medallist was defeated by Japan’s Haruna Okuno in the 55kg category 5-4 and settled for a silver medal instead.
The 23-year old wrestler qualified for the final after defeating Iryna Kurachkina from Belarus 10-0 in the semi-final match.
Another Nigerian representative, Blessing Oborududu lost her bronze medal match 7-8 in the 63kg category to Colombia’s Jackeline Castillo.
