UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman went under the knife to repair an injury suffered before his most recent title defense.

The Nigerian Nightmare, 34, broke his right hand just three weeks prior to his UFC 268 clash with Colby Covington last November but opted not to delay the bout and went on to win by unanimous decision.

On Monday evening February 7, UFC president Dana White shared graphic images of Usman’s procedure to repair ligament damage in his right hand.
