Last Saturday, a Nigerian was arrested by French customs in the east of France. The latter had in his digestive system 79,000 euros and 13,000 Swiss francs hidden in his clothes.
The man was arrested at the Strasbourg bus station while driving on a city bus. Called out by chance, the man told the customs officers that he was living in Spain and earned his living as a diver in a restaurant in the Balearic Islands. Asked about the 13,000 Swiss francs he had hidden in his clothes, the man gave explanations to the customs officials about the origin of this money.
During the interrogation, the customs sniffer smelled the smell of cannabis on the banknotes he had on him. The man was then handed over to the judicial police where he underwent an X-ray that indicated the presence of nine condoms filled with banknotes.
After extracting condoms from Nigerian stomach, the content revealed 200 and 500 euro notes. The total amount was 79,000 euros.
Prosecuted for laundering money from drug trafficking and false customs declaration, the man was jailed
