Nigerian Artist Rema Features on Barack Obama’s 2019 Summer Playlist

The young Nigerian artist, Rema, who signed with Don Jazzy’s label, Mavin Record, is part of the summer 2019 playlist of former US president Barack Obama with his song “Iron Man”.

The Nigerian news agency reported that the former US president had shared the list on his @BarackObama twitter account on Saturday.

Barack shared a list of 44 songs that he and his wife Michelle are listening to this summer, and Rema was number 42.

He wrote, “With the end of the summer, here’s a sample of what Michelle and I listened to – some new, some old, some hot, some slow. I hope you enjoy. “

Drake, number 1, Jay Z, Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Jill Scott, Frank Sinatra, Rihanna, DJ Khaled and Robin Thicke, are among the other international stars on the reading list.

Rema is a Nigerian hip-hop rapper who currently plays in Nigeria, singer, songwriter, stage performer, and model currently signed by Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records and D’Prince’s Jonzing World.

In June, he made history as the first Nigerian artist to debut with five best songs on Apple Music.

According to NAN, he was discovered by D’Prince in Benin City, who said he saw the star signs in the young singer.

Rema’s famous singles “Iron Man” and “Dumebi” are at the top of the charts around the world.
