Sources reportedly close to the pop star claimed to People magazine that Justin is feeling ‘down and tired’ and ‘has been struggling a bit.’
Insiders say that his mental health issues are nothing to do with his marriage to Hailey Baldwin.
Justin, 24, and Hailey, 22, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in New York last September.
The source maintained Justin is very happily married, adding: “It’s just something else that he struggles with mentally.
“He has good help around him and is receiving some treatment. He seems confident he will feel better soon.”
Earlier this month newlyweds Justin and Hailey opened about married life in a candid joint interview for Vogue magazine.
Justin admitted that his huge stardom had made it difficult for him to trust people, even wife Hailey, who he has known for many years.
He said: “I’ve struggled with the feeling that people are using me or aren’t really there for me, and that writers are looking to get something out of me and then use it against me.”
The Sorry singer, who soared to fame at the age of just 13-years-old, also touched on the difficulties of growing up in the public eye.
He said: “I didn’t really have a chance to find who I was apart from what I did. I just needed some time to evaluate myself: who I am, what I want out of my life, my relationships, who I want to be – stuff that when you’re so immersed in the music business you kind of lose sight of.”
