NBA Opens Its First Training Center In Africa!!

Nursery Senegalese basketball, SEED officially became the NBA partner since the league has decided to locate its first NBA Academy Thies Africa. The Academy which is to be Opened in 2017. This training center will be the first on African soil and will welcome 12 players.

“The creation of the NBA Academy Africa marks a significant step in the evolution of the NBA on the African continent,” said Amadou Gallo Fall, vice president of the NBA and scouting reference in the NBA. “SEED shares our goal of providing the best young Africans with quality training and education to achieve their goals in life and in the field.”


The NBA has already opened three “academies” in China (Hangzhou, Jinan and Urumqi) in October, two more will be inaugurated in Australia and India. In each center, two teams U16 and U18 will be able to perform tournaments abroad.
