My Brain Refuses To Accept That Kobe And Gigi Are Gone – Vanessa Bryant

Vanessa Bryant, the wife of late NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant who died alongside their 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others has revealed that she is still grieving the loss.

The 37-year-old widow in an Instagram post has said her brain is yet to accept the fact that her husband and daughter is gone. Kobe and Gianna died in a helicopter crash on January 26 on their way to a basketball game.

Vanessa in her emotional post revealed that when she tries to process Kobe and Gianna being gone, her body refuses to accept that they will never come back to her.

She shared a video of the duo and wrote:

“I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong.

Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t being able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad. She had so much life to live. Then I realize I need to be strong and be here for my 3 daughters. Mad I’m not with Kobe and Gigi but thankful I’m here with Natalia, Bianka and Capri.

I know what I’m feeling is normal. It’s part of the grieving process. I just wanted to share in case there’s anyone out there that’s experienced a loss like this. God, I wish they were here and this nightmare would be over.

Praying for all of the victims of this horrible tragedy. Please continue to pray for all.”

In an earlier tribute to her Kobe and Gianna, Vanessa had said she loves and misses them. In one of her posts, she shared a smiling photo of Kobe and described him as “best daddy”, her “best friend” and “loving husband”.

In a similar vein, she also took to her Instagram page to share a tribute to her late daughter after Gianna’s jersey was retired by her private school, Harbor Day School.

In one of the videos she shared from the retirement, she wrote:

“My Gigi. I love you! I miss you. You’ve taught us all that no act of kindness is ever too small. Mommy is still and will ALWAYS be so proud of you mamacita.”
