More than 57, 600 Zambian Youths Apply for 1,000 Police Constable Positions

MORE than 57, 600 young people applied for 1,000 jobs in the Zambia Police Service, in an indication of how tough the jobs market remains in Zambia.


Police Public Relations Officer Esther Mwaata Katongo has told Mwebantu in statement that the, “Zambia Police Service received 57, 601 applications across the country in the recruitment exercise which was recently advertised for 1,000 Police Constable Positions. Lusaka received 10,000 applications, Copperbelt had 9,000, Southern had 6,000, North western Province, 5,278, Western Province had 5,113, Muchinga Province had 5,020, Eastern Province had 4,800, Northern Province had 4,605, Luapula Province had 4,006 while Central Province had 3,779.” She said.

She added that all the shortlisted candidates should check for their names at Provincial Centers and are expected to undergo physical tests on 31st July, 2018 and those that will make it will be expected to write an aptitude test on 1st August, 2018 from respective Provinces.
