Meghan Markle’s dad will walk his daughter down the aisle when she marries Prince Harry at Windsor Castle in May, according to the actress’ half-sister.
However, Samantha Grant, 52, finally put the rumours to rest.
Asked during an interview on Channel 5 show The Wright Stuff whether her father would be the person to walk his daughter down the aisle yesterday, Ms Grant replied: “Yes he is, God forbid unless a plane crashes through his roof, he’ll be there one way or the other.
“So any rumour to the contrary is… My favourite new word is becoming ‘oh rubbish’. Yeah, so he will be there.”
He said: “I think it’s wonderful, I’m very delighted. I think they’re a very good match, I’m very happy for them, Meghan and Harry.
“I love my daughter very much — Harry’s a gentleman.”
It had been rumoured Mr Markle was left “extremely hurt” by Prince Harry’s suggestion that his fiancee had found “the family she never had” while spending Christmas with the Royals.

The comment sparked fury from Meghan’s family in the US and her brother, Thomas Jr, has come forward to dispel Harry’s claim.
He said: “She’s had a really good family.
“We were as close as we could be, as tight as we could be, that’s what we were.
