And now it can also be revealed Meghan Markle will be a guest at the Queen’s annual Christmas party, which is held for her staff.
The invite comes as a surprise as they are not usually extended to any partner of family members until they are wed.
The former Suits star has not been seen in public with her fiancee since the pair’s first official outing at Nottingham following their engagement announcement on November 27.
Meghan Markle was invited to the Queen’s Christmas party
But she arrived back in London this week ahead of the Queen’s Royal Household Christmas party, which was hosted by the Lord Chamberlain at Windsor Castle on Monday.
Royal reporter Rebecca English tweeted: “Meghan Markle was a surprise guest at the Queen’s annual staff Christmas party at Windsor Castle on Monday.
“One person who met her told me that she was ‘charm personified. She held out her hand & said ‘Hi, I’m Meghan’. She was unbelievably beautiful and Harry looked so proud’.”

Meghan will join the Queen and royal family for Christmas
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement was announced in November
Wearing a burgundy lacy cocktail dress, Meghan was plunged into a sea of some 900 faces of footmen, housemaids, butlers, domestic staff and gardeners who keep Buckingham Palace and the other royal residences ticking over.
One guest said: “She asked everyone she met their names and what they did. It was very natural.”
The stunning bride to be even revealed that she and Harry had spent last weekend at Windsor looking over the state rooms as they began making plans for the wedding.
And everyone laughed when Lord Chamberlain, Earl Peel, made a joke about next year being a busy one, in reference to the upcoming Royal wedding.
Yesterday’s announcement that Meghan will join the royal family for Christmas was also a break with tradition.
No such invitation was extended to Kate Middleton, Camilla Parker Bowles or Princess Diana before they married into the family.
However while she will eat her dinner by her fiancée’s side, she will later join the female Royals as they retire with the Queen while the Duke of Edinburgh dishes out port and brandy to the men.
A Kensington Palace spokesman: “You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry and Ms Markle on Christmas Day.”
