Meet Tomisin Ogunnubi, 12-Year-Old Nigerian Who Develops ‘My Locator’ an Android Mobile Tracking Application

Tomisin Ogunnubi, a pupil at Vivian Fowler Memorial College for Girls in Lagos created the app with the intention of helping users to know their geographic location, view it on the map so that they can be suitably directed.

The App has an alert button that alerts Lagos State emergency service number when pressed i.e. in an emergency.


“In a matter of time, these set of young entrepreneurs would have been convincingly positioned with their skills to bail the country out of its total dependence on oil and become an IT-driven country like India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. that are dominating the world’s lucrative IT market, which is expected to hit €4.4tn by 2019.” Said the General Manager, Educational Services, New Horizons, Mr. Bolaji Olaoye to the Punch
