Meet The Six African Referees Lined Up For Russia 2018

Three African referees have been appointed to officiate opening match of the 2017 FIFAClub World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Senegalese trio of Malang Diedhiou, Djibril Camara and Malick Samba handled the match between Al Jazira (UAE) and Auckland City of New Zealand last Wednesday.

African referees have been prominent at the FIFA Club World Cup with Zambia’s Janny Sikazwe handling last year’s final between eventual winners, Real Madrid (Spain) and Japanese side Kashima Antlers.

And now for the upcoming Russia 2018 world cup, FIFA has received a six-man list of African referees and support referees to officiate at the tournament. Let’s get to know them.
