Babu, whose clients include politicians as well as movie and music stars, said in one of his interviews that “things have worked well”, a statement that shows that things were not so easy for him in 1989.
“I remember the day my father died, leaving our family and his hair salon.” Three years later, his dream of owning a car rental service allowed him to buy an Indian-made Maruti Omni.
Car rental profits were encouraging and by the end of the 1990s he was running a successful taxi business.
In 2004, he started renting luxury cars with brands like Mercedes and BMW. It currently has about 200 vehicles, including minibuses and luxury cars like Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, Mercedes C, E and S categories and BMW 5, 6 and 7. Most of the time, Ramesh goes to his hair salon with a Rolls Royce Ghost, a luxury car he bought with his hard-earned money.
Speaking of his luxury cars and his first job, he said:
“It’s more of a passion”
As for the profession of hairdresser,
“I will continue to be as long as my hands are healthy.”
