Meet Melanie, Former Rapper, Converted To Islam, Now Supports 38 African Orphans

Mélanie (Diam’s), former rapper converted to Islam, expressed strong moments with orphans in Africa. Her Big Up Project Association is to protect disadvantaged children in Africa through support to youth care centers struggling and mobilizing volunteers for assistance and international solidarity.

Her appeal for donations to the joy brought 38 orphans from Mali.

Deeply touched by the spirit of solidarity that emerged around a noble cause, Diams thanked on her twitter account those people who acted for the good of Africa.

Thank you all for this generosity and love for the orphans of Fatoumata. We continue to receive gifts and all over the world and numerous proposals here and there. Between all the volunteers who say they want to offer us their time, donated 1 euro which for us are worth 1000, this man who offered to donate all the profits a day of his trade or the couple who made a permanent transfer of 500 euros per month! Sincerely , it’s really wonderful to see how the situation of the children touches you. I spoke with told me that yesterday Fatoumata pass one of the most beautiful month of Ramadan for years. They have enough to eat and live much calmer knowing that every month we will take care of all their expenses, Inshallah . “

The ancient artists did not fail to recall the fundamentals of life, namely verses from the Koran.

May Allah reward her for her virtuous act.
