A Pennsylvania woman says she went online to check her electricity bill and she was stunned by the amount – more than $ 284 billion.
The Erie Times-News reports that Mary Horomanski said her eyes “barely came out” of her head when she saw the amount. She suspected that her family had misplaced the Christmas lights.
The good news was that she did not have to pay the full amount until November 2018 – only a minimum payment of $ 28,156 was due in December.

Horomanski’s son contacted Penelac, his electricity supplier, who confirmed the mistake. Parent company First Energy stated that a decimal point had been accidentally moved. His new amount was quickly corrected to $ 284.46.
