Meet Gelila Kahsay, The Self-Taught Artist Who Uses Coffee To Create Amazing Art

The talented Gelila Kahsay is a young habeshan, self-taught artist who is best known for her impressive acrylic paintings and even more impressive coffee art.

Gelila who started drawing recreationally as a child, says art is now an immense source of pleasure (and income) to her.

According to Gelila, her biggest inspiration is “the greatest art work of all: Nature” – and she loves spending time alone in nature, soaking up all its artistry.

While a lot of her acrylic work is abstract – she tries to paints her feelings and emotions – her coffee art typically involves portraiture of people she looks up to and important world events.
