Meet D’Almeida Mawubedzro Kokoe Balbina, the Togo Crowned Beauty Queen for 2016

D’Almeida Mawubedzro Kokoe Balbina won the highly contested sought-after Miss Togo 2016 crown Saturday night. The 20 year old journalism student beat 19 contestants to win the 22nd edition of the West African’s beauty contest.

Before an audience of over 3,000 people in the Congress hall of Lome and excited online media, the beauty towering at the height of 1.8m won a Citroen car, 58,531 US dollars funding, a paid stay in Europe, a year of insurance and special financing for her social development projects according to Xinhua.

“I expect to become a very influential presenter and popularize talk-show across the African continent,” said the new Miss Togo

Her predecessor Miss Togo 2015 Adzoh Akou Yayra Gaelle graced the occasion making the end of her one year term. Gaelle said that she got the ‘opportunity to go to the school of life” during her reign.

Kankoue-Aho Kokoe Brenda Eyram, 18-year-old student in management and financing, and Blandeye Ella Fortunee Stephanie, 21-year-old student in certified accountancy came second and third respectively
