Maradona Denies: “I’ve a Lot of Respect for Africans & My Finger of Honour is Not Intended for the Nigerian Team”

The finger of honour of Diego Maradona is not addressed to the Nigerians as some news sites wanted to make it believe.

Couple of days ago following Argentina’s winning goal against Nigeria, the best football player of all time, Diego Maradona has allowed himself to make a point of honour at the top of the stands. This gesture has been misinterpreted by some ill-intentioned Africans.

Moreover, online sites took the opportunity to discredit the world champion 86 on unfounded and false grounds. Diego Maradona at no time, addressed the Nigerian players by this act of the finger. The lies about Diego, even after his retirement, have not stopped and continue to pay off the news.
