Manchester United: Meet the Top 6 Coaches Who Could Replace José Mourinho

José Mourinho has been sacked as coach of Manchester United. Criticized for the poor performance of the Red Devils, the Portuguese’s stay at United was extremely trying.

While Michael Carrick is announced as interim coach of Manchester United, here are the names that appear in the list of possible successors.

1. Zinedine Zidane

Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is currently the favorite to replace José Mourinho at Manchester United and the Frenchman could be named as the new manager in the next 48 hours. Zidane left Real Madrid after a third consecutive victory in the Champions League.

2. Mauricio Pochettino

The Argentine has been tied to a start for Manchester United since the start of the current Premier League season, but he has made it clear he is happy in Tottenham. With the dismissal of Jose Mourinho, Pochettino might well consider a possibility to lead the Red Devils.

3. Antonio Conte

Antonio Conte has a long history of success especially with Chelsea. But he was sacked and replaced by Sarri. The former Juventus player, currently without a club, could replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

4. Brendan Rodgers

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has proven himself in the Scottish club and is one of the favorites to replace José Mourinho.

5. Ryan Giggs

Ryan Giggs is also a favorite for Manchester United coaching. Giggs worked as a coach under the direction of David Moyes and took over from the Scots following his dismissal.

6. Arsene Wenger

Since leaving Arsenal, Arsène Wenger has been without a club but has made it clear that he will soon resume his coaching duties. The former Monaco coach is also among the candidates who could replace José Mourinho at Old Trafford.
