Former Ghanaian international Samuel Kuffor is the first name in this ranking. This solid Ghanaian defender won a Champions League with Bayern Munich. He could even have finished the African Golden Ball in 1999. This former defender of the black stars of Ghana has a track record that allows him to dominate this classification without question. Behind him is the rough Cameroonian defender Rigobert Song. Double African champion, the Cameroonian brought a particular touch to this position by distinguishing himself as a very rough defender. Ahmaed Hassan completes the podium.

Nigerian international Taribo West ranks 5th in this ranking. The Nigerian player went through Inter Milan where he rubbed shoulders with the greatest like the Brazilian Ronaldo with whom he was teammate. He had won the UEFA Cup. In 7th position, we find Kolo Touré. Yaya Touré’s older brother. The Ivorian international had an honorable career in England. He notably went through Arsenal and was part of the invincible gunners team. Manchester City and Liverpool also counted the Ivorian in their workforce. On the continent, he managed to lift the CAN trophy in 2015 with the elephants.
