Lionel Messi: “I Miss Cristiano Ronaldo”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure for Juventus last summer left a gap in Liga according to Lionel Messi. The Argentine has admitted that he misses Cristiano Ronaldo.

Messi started the year 2019 in great shape with Barça leading the La Liga and qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

However, Real Madrid has had a bad season since Ronaldo left. The player was a huge success in Madrid, winning the Champions League three consecutive times.

In an interview with C5N radio, Lionel Messi spoke of the departure of his biggest rival.

“I miss Cristiano in Spain. It was nice to have him here, even if it annoyed me to see him win so many titles. I must admit, it would be great if he was still there, “ said the attacker on the radio.

Lionel Messi also spoke about his career in the national team and his decision to take a break after the World Cup.

Argentina was eliminated in the round of 16 and Lionel Messi believes that the poor performance of the team must be attributed to the rapid promotion of young players to positions of responsibility in the team.

“I think the generational change has been very abrupt. It could have taken longer. You have to give time and confidence to the young people. The change was very important.

To be realistic, it takes a lot of work to be a strong team. These children played very few matches for the national team. We must be patient and I have no doubt that we will get back into shape .
