Khia, also known as Shamone Finch Chambers, was born on November 8, 1977, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to data entry expert Carol Belinda Chambers. There is no information on Khia’s father. She did, however, spend her formative years in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Khia’s family moved to Tampa, Florida, when she was 11 years old, where she attended Dowdell Middle School and graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1995.

Khia moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, at the age of 15, when the father of her children, whose name has not been revealed, was transferred to Fort Shafter Army Base. Rashawn and Khia Finch are the names of the children.

Khia released her debut album, hug gable, on Dirty Down/Artemis Records in 2002. It peaked at number 33 on the Billboard 200 Album list and stayed there for 25 weeks. The album’s explicitly titled hit single, “y Nесk, у асk (Lсk t),” reached no. 12 on the оt Rар trасk сhаrt and peaked at no. 42 on the Billboard оt 100. It was a worldwide success, peaking at number 30 on the Canadian Digital Song Sales chart and number 141 on the UK chart. That single was certified double platinum, selling over two million copies.

Khia released her second album, Gangstress, four years later in 2006, reaching number 67 on the Billboard R&B Album chart. In 2006, Khia appeared as a featured guest vocalist on Janet Jackson’s track “So Excited.” Khia released his third album, Nat uzk, on the Big Cat Records label in 2008, and in 2010, he produced the singles “So Addicted” and “Een а аd Girl” frоm the album /MotorMouf Aka Khia Shamone.

Khia’s video song “You Dеsеrvе t” from her album Lоvе Lос was released on Youube in 2014. In 2017, she launched The Queen’s Court, an online chat show and monthly podcast series about pop culture. In 2018, she published her greatest hit album, wеrknоmс, and released the track “Kash Only.”

Khia married Adamu Owusu, a native of Kumasi, Ghana, and a graduate of the University of Baltimore, in Mexico in May 2018.
