“One of them is the Standard Gauge Railway, the single largest infrastructure project in East and Central Africa – power of co-operation and friendship between our two nations and peoples”, said Mr. Kenyatta.

“The people of Kenya join me in sending their best wishes to the people of China and to all of those who will celebrate the Chinese New Year.  We have achieved much together, and I believe we will accomplish even more in the years to come.”
In addition to Kenyatta, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari also delivered New Year greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people.
“As you commence festivities marking the Chinese Year of Dog on 16 February, we congratulate and wish the Chinese people a prosperous and peaceful New Year”, said Mr. Buhari.
The Chinese Lunar New Year, or Spring Festival, is the most important festival in China. Every year, hundreds of millions of Chinese travel home during the time for reunions with their families.
