Lagos, Nigeria – Kenya’s Kiptum emerged the winner of the 42.1km race for the second time in a row in a time of 2:15:23s.
Kenyan national, Abraham Kiptum has emerged winner of the 2017 Lagos City Marathon bankrolled by Access Bank.
According to reports, Kiptum emerged the winner of the 42.1km race for the second time in a row in a time of 2:15:23s.
Kiptum’s feat had again earned him the cash prize of $50,000, which will be presented to him by the Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode and Access Bank boss, Herbert Wigwe.
In 2016, at the maiden edition of the race, Kiptum won the 42.1km race in a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes, 21 seconds.

2nd – Ronny Kipkoech Kiboss – 2:15:25s
3rd – Kiprotich Kiroi – 2:15:30s
In the same vein, Nigeria’s Ilya Pam Nwanta wins N1m at 2017 Lagos city marathon.
Nwanta is the first Nigerian to finish the race and he will be going home with N1million.
