Ivory Coast: Emmanuel Macron And His Wife To Visit Abidjan For This Reason.

The information was made public by the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, back from his visit to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, on 31 August 2017.

 

According to the Ivorian head of state, the first work will be launched at the end of November on the occasion of a courtesy visit to Abidjan by the the French presidential couple.

“We have taken stock of the realization of the metro project and hope to launch the work at the end of November, on the occasion of the visit of President Macron and Mrs. Macron to Côte d’Ivoire. It is a project that will help decongest the city of Abidjan, “said the president.

While expressing its gratitude to the French Government for the funding provided in the context of the project.

Financing estimated at some C $ 920 billion, “one of the highest that France has had to do in its bilateral cooperation at the level of the Government as well as that of the French Development Agency and the French Treasury . “.

Alassane Ouattara has also indicated that after this first line, will begin after 2020, the work of the second line of the metro.

At the same time, the French President will take part in the next Union-European Union-African Summit to be held on 29 and 30 November 2017 in Abidjan.

This meeting should lay the groundwork for the re-founding of the partnership between the two continents.
