Ivorian Football Legend, Didier Drogba and Liberia’s President George Weah Play for Charity

Didier Drogba, the Ivorian football legend and former Chelsea star, joined Liberian President George Weah in a charity match in Liberia.

George Weah, who is a former footballer, has brought together African stars to entertain and support many projects he has undertaken since taking office as president.

George Weah is widely regarded as one of the greatest African players of all time, in 1995 he was world’s best player and won the Ballon d’Or, becoming the first African player to win the prestigious award.


Drogba, who did a lot of punditry work at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, was among the many people invited to play on the Weah All-Stars team.

Drogba has played in several charity matches, seeking to always contribute to actions to support African countries.
