Ivorian Ex-international, Didier Drogba Leaves the Phoenix Rising FC

Arrived at Phoenix Rising FC, in USL (the equivalent of the second North American division), Didier Drogba is already packing.

The Ivorian ex-international, Didier Drogba, leaves the Arizona club, with whom he is at the end of the contract, announced the club on his twitter account.

Didier Drogba made one last appearance with Phoenix Rising FC on the night of Saturday to Sunday. The Ivorian leaves the franchise of USL (the second North American division) on a loss against the Portland reserve in the league (0-1). The Arizona club still finishes in 3rd place and will play the play-offs.

With Phoenix, the former Ivorian international (105 caps, 65 goals) played 21 games, scored 13 goals and delivered 4 assists in two seasons.

His playing performances

Complete and physical attacker, Didier Drogba is an exceptional player. According to experts from the world of football, he is very good at the foot despite his great size and his technique allows him to get out of difficult situations.

Didier Drogba has an impulsive character. During his professional career, his lack of composure in the face of provocations or arbitration decisions led him to be sanctioned at least 49 times.

He was also criticized for his propensity to simulate on contacts or to dive into the surface.

Since the announcement of his withdrawal from the Phoenix, no one knows if the player will retire or if he plans to find a new club.
