Faced with South Africa, candidate for this position, the choice of voters focused on the six-time winner of this continental competition.

“After listening to Roland Berger (the audit firm mandated by the CAF, ed), after analyzing the situation, after listening to the two candidates, we went to the vote and I am happy to announce that it is the Who won CAN 2019, said Ahmad in a press conference. CAF will work closely with Egypt to move forward. We know the challenges and the problems that exist. We can ask the support of our partners, including FIFA and other countries, to help us organize this 2019 edition, which will be held for the first time at 24. “Ahmad Ahmad told a press conference.

“It’s really not a surprise. Egypt has adequate infrastructure to organize this competition in the short time that remains. It is one of the few African countries to be able to take up such a challenge, “Beninese journalist Francis Eponou told Afrikmag.

CAN 2019 will run from June 15 to July 13. This is the first time this competition will be held with 24 teams.
