The latest report recently revealed what happened in the apartment of Samuel Eto’o in Milan. The media reports that the property of the former Milan striker was seized by the Italian tax authorities and set to be sold at auction.
It must be said that this is not the first time that the residence of the former captain of the indomitable lions is besieged by the authorities of the country. It will be remembered that a similar case took place in Mallorca, Spain. But for the case of Italy, this is justified by the fact that the Cameroonian star who managed the triple in 2010 with Inter Milan José Mourinho, owes 3 million euros Italian tax.
His luxury apartment turned into a grand royal palace (Three floors, three hundred square meters plus three terraces, bedrooms and bathrooms, private elevators) was seized and auctioned for 3.2 million euros. The Italian tax authorities are demanding more than 3 million euros from Samuel Eto’o. This sum would have been judged as very little.
After his memorable treble in 2009 with FC Barcelona, Eto’o joined Inter Milan and José Mourinho imposed a role of the great sacrifice that proved decisive for the conquest of the historic treble. At that time, he was the highest paid player in Series A: 10.5 million a year. He flies away later to Anzhi Makhachkala. Samuel EZto’o has been playing since last January with Konyaspor, in Turkey.
