Political analyst Lorenzo Valloreja explains in his book why Italy must “give up the euro, withdraw from NATO, leave the European Union and become an ally of Putin’s Russia”. Sputnik had the opportunity to talk to this Italian.
Italy is currently tied up hands and feet by the EU, the euro and NATO, which seriously hampers its development. Also, she must withdraw to “reborn,” said Lorenzo Valloreja Sputnik.
“I am 42 years old, and I still live in Italy. Like all young people in the 1970s and 1980s, I was fondling the “European dream”. We had been persuaded that the united Europe was going to spare us all evils. However, from the 1990s, it became clear that Europe had become the opposite of everything we had been promised, “said the interlocutor of the agency.
And to add that the European institutions had disappointed the Italians.
“As a historian, I study the birth of the European Union and the euro, as well as membership in NATO, and I see the problems of our country. […] We have renounced our sovereignty on behalf of the EU, which was only created for the comfort of France and Germany, “said Mr Valloreja.
According to him, the interests of Italy are very different from those of Paris and Berlin, or even they are often well and truly opposed.
“Members of NATO, we had to wage war against our allies, including Libya. Today, we observe the problems with Iran, which is one of the main trading partners of our country. If the Trump administration starts a war in Iran, we too will be forced to participate, “said the analyst, arguing the need for Italy to withdraw from NATO
He also said that NATO is pushing more and more to the east what concerns Russia, a peaceful country that does not aspire to expansion.
“Russia could become our partner at the highest levels,” said Sputnik’s interlocutor.
And to hope that Italy would succeed in further tightening its ties with Moscow in order to jointly modify the geopolitical situation in the Mediterranean region.
“Italy must leave the EU, NATO and the euro zone. Our country must open up entirely for Russia and lift the sanctions. We can become pioneers, and other countries will follow us. We will not stay alone, but it takes courage for that, “concluded the historian.
