The Quai d’Orsay spokesman, Romain Nadal, expressed concern about Iran’s construction of its third ballistic plant.
According to the Lebanese news channel El-Nashra , Romain Nadal called on the Iranians to respect UN resolutions and to avoid resorting to what he described as provocative measures.
But according to UN Security Council Resolution 2231, only measures aimed at manufacturing missiles with the capacity to carry nuclear warheads are prohibited.
Consequently, Tehran stressed that the Iranian ballistic program was not “affected” by the Vienna agreement or by resolution 2231.
General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh, commander-in-chief of the Aerospace Department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (CGRI), said yesterday (Thursday 25 May) of the construction of the third underground ballistic missile manufacturing facility.
This position of France intervenes while the Iranian officials have always emphasized the necessity of the continuation of the ballistic program of the country.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi said Iran would continue its ballistic missile program without failing.
“COUNTRIES THAT SUPPORT TERRORISM AND EXTREMISM ARE KNOWN TO ALL AND CAN NOT BE CLEARED OF THEM,” HE ADDED.
Qassemi has deemed unfounded such statements on the Iranian missile program.
“As part of its national policy, Iran will continue the defense and deterrence programs that contribute to the stability and security of the region as well as the fight against terrorism,” he reiterated.
And conclude: “Iran will not allow others to breathe a word on this issue. ”
