Indian PM ‘Narendra Modi’ Arrives in Mozambique on First Leg of African Tour

The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has arrived in Mozambique on the first leg of his 5-day African tour. He is expected to visit neighbouring South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya as part of the tour.

He wrote about the Mozambican tour on his facebook page, ‘‘The aim of my visit is to increase cooperation and boost cultural linkages. I will meet President Filipe Nyusi and hold extensive talks with him.’‘

Modi is also expected to hold a meeting with Ms. Veronica Macamo, the President of the National Assembly and a visit to the S&T Park, Maluana where he will interact with students, before he rounds up with a brief interaction with the Indian community.

He is expected to be in Tanzania on the 10th of July, there he is expected to meet President Magufuli for high level talks before he rounds off the visit in Kenya on Monday, the 11th.
