Cristiano Ronaldo looked downbeat as he was spotted self-isolating from coronavirus as girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez went out shopping.
The Juventus striker is back in his Madeira homeland in Portugal in a bid to steer clear of the virus.
Two of Ronaldo’s teammates have already confirmed they had contracted the virus, but Ronaldo is yet to show any related symptoms.
The 35-year-old remained in lockdown at his apartment in Funchal and was seen sunbathing by the pool on his balcony.
Meanwhile, his partner Georgina risked picking up the virus as she popped out to local shops for supplies.
Ronaldo returned to Funchal after all Serie A fixtures were postponed until April 3, as Italy remains the worst-affected country in Europe.
Juventus stars Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi have both been diagnosed with the deadly Covid-19 virus since Juve’s last fixture with Inter Milan.
Ronaldo shared a dressing room with both players for the clash on March 8, before flying straight home to visit his mother Dolores, who has only recently suffered a stroke.
Rugani posted at the time of his diagnosis: “You will have read the news and that’s why I want to reassure all those who are worrying about me, I’m fine.
“I urge everyone to respect the rules because this virus makes no distinctions! Let’s do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us.”
Matuidi then became the second Juventus player to contract the virus just this week.
A statement from Juventus read: “Blaise Matuidi has undergone medical tests that have revealed his positivity to the Coronavirus-COVID-19.
“The player, as of Wednesday 11 March, has been in voluntary home isolation. He will continue to be monitored and will follow the same regime. He is well and is asymptomatic.”
Juventus are due to play Lyon in the Champions League on Tuesday, but it is likely the fixture will be postponed by UEFA.
