How Some African Leaders Ushered In Year 2018 [With Photos]

As a follow up to our article on how some of our African leaders celebrated the Christmas season, we take a look at what they did and said on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni delivered a New Year’s message to his people.

He also attended Church service together with his family to mark the beginning of the year.

President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria took to his Facebook page to send his compatriots a New Year’s message.

President Nana Akufo Addo of Ghana took to Twitter to wish his compatriots a Happy New Year.

Senegalese President, Macky Sall also wished his people a Happy New Year.

President Roch Kabore of Burkina Faso delivered a New Year message to his people on Twitter.

South African President Jacob Zuma delivered a New Year message to his people.

Nigerian Entrepreneur and philantropist Tony Elumelu took to his Instagram page to give some advice and wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Rwandan President, Paul Kagame had an End of Year message for his people.

He also hosted an End of Year Party with his wife Jeannette Kagame.

President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya delivered a message to his compatriots on New Year’s Eve.
