Vipers midfielder Paul Mucureezi stunned his teammates and fans after proposing to his long-term heartthrob on the pitch.
The 27-year-old midfielder made the move after his side’s 5-0 demolition of Maroons FC at St Mary’s Stadium on Wednesday, February 26.
After leading Vipers to a 5-0 win over their opponents, the 27-year-old footballer reached for the ring before going down on one knee to ask for Esther Swabale’s hand in marriage.
And much to the delight of everyone who witnessed the heartwarming moment, Swabale, who was sporting Vipers’ regalia, said yes.

To put the icing on the cake, Mucureezi earned a call up to the national team soon after and he is now due to represent Uganda at the 2020 CHAN games.
His action attracted admiration from fans who took to social media to send messages of goodwill to the footballer and his fiancee.
One posted: “I see you sir, Clapping hands sign scoring both on and off the pitch.” A second added: “Congratulations upon the goal and this, God wins.”
💍 AND SHE SAID, YES 👏💪

Meanwhile, Mucureezi is understood to have later announced his goal during the match was dedicated to his to-be wife. He further hinted that both could tie the knot later this year.
And if that happens, it will be a big blow for manager Jurgen Klopp who has been enjoying the pairing of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah upfront.
Real Madrid chiefs are believed to be thinking of getting a replacement for Eden Hazard who has sustained another injury and could be out of action for some time.
