Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo Visits One of the Coldest Places on Earth

President Nana Akufo-Addo is touring some countries in Europe. He is currently in Norway.

The President visited Svalbard, the Norwegian archipelago situated between continental Norway and the North Pole.

He was invited by the Prime Minister of Norway, Erna Solberg.

President Akufo-Addo also witnessed the deposit of some 60,000 new seed samples into the Svalbard Seed Vault.

The talking point of the visit is that President Akufo-Addo was seen in a winter jacket. Ghanaians are talking on social media because they are used to seeing their president in African fabrics and sometimes suits.
